Theres certainly a bit of happiness and sadness in this picture- it reminds me of a shot just like the one that my mom took of 4 sets of shoes-- 32 years ago, just before my dad left. Four tiny litte shoes and 4 bigger shoes. Thats the sad part- the happy part- is that this is of MY family. I'm the mommy- the "2nd set" of shoes-- and I get the chance every single day- to make it a family that stays together. I still cant believe that just two years ago (almost) there were only 4 shoes- not 8! How much fun is that? That we got to double our shoe quota in one shot?
